Average temperatures during the winter months range from -10 to 19 degrees Fahrenheit. During July, the hottest month, average temperatures hover around 79 degrees during the day and 52 degrees at night. The days are often dry and windy, with the occasional thunderstorm keeping everything interesting. Average precipitation during June, the wettest month, is 3.19 inches. Annual precipitation, including melted snow, is 18.5 inches.
Every year is quite different. During our hunting months, you’ll typically find September’s high at 67 with a low of 40; October’s high at 53 with a low of 28; and November’s high at 31 with a low of 11. Snow regularly arrives when its ready. We’ve had blizzards in early October and some years we hunt in short sleeve t-shirts in November.
